Tori Turner (she/her)
Tori Turner is a passionate music major at Utah State University, bringing her talents and heart to foster safe, affirming spaces for LGBTQIA youth. As a queer individual who grew up in the LDS Church, she understands the challenges of navigating faith and identity. Her lived experience, combined with her background as a camp counselor and advocate for mental health and suicide prevention, fuels her dedication to helping others embrace both their spirituality and queerness.
For this event, Tori is not only composing the official theme song but also bringing her boundless enthusiasm, energy, and love to every moment. Her goal is to create a space where participants feel completely free to be their authentic selves—knowing they are seen, valued, and adored exactly as they are.
Outside of her work, Tori finds joy in singing, songwriting, and spending time in nature. She is inspired by the power of human connection—whether to people, nature, or God—and believes deeply in the innate worth and divinity of every individual. She carries with her the words of Khadija Gbla:
"I channelled my pain into advocacy, 'cause I needed my pain to be worth something."
Through music, mentorship, and unwavering love, Tori is committed to helping LGBTQIA youth find belonging, strength, and joy in their journeys.
